Falakata College has long been rendering an important role in imparting higher education to students from a region primarily inhabited by SC/ST communities and other backward classes. We believe that education is a lifelong, continuous process that contributes to the development of individuals and society. Furthermore, we view educational institutions as lighthouses, guiding students towards all- around development based on values. We promote a culture of mutual respect and understanding among our students, faculty, and staff. Our college welcomes students from diverse backgrounds and encourages them to share their unique perspectives and experiences. By fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity, we hope to create a learning environment that prepares our students to succeed in a globalized world. We also offer career counseling services to help students make informed decisions about their future career paths. Our college is constantly striving to improve the quality of education and infrastructure by adopting new technologies and teaching methods. We encourage our students to be active learners and to engage in research and innovation to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

In addition to academic studies, we encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities such as NCC, NSS, sports, and cultural programs. In October 2017, our college received a B+ grade with a CGPA of 2.62 from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), recognizing our success in academics, administration, as well as games and sports, NCC, NSS, and cultural activities. Our faculty members prioritize the individual development of each student and emphasize behavioral discipline and morality. We believe that building character and moral values is an ongoing process that requires consistent effort and reinforcement. Therefore, we incorporate character-building activities into the curriculum and encourage students to practice good values in their daily lives. To enhance the teaching and learning process, our faculty members provide tutorial classes and special sessions for students who may need extra support, such as slow learners. We strive to teach life skills for self-development and hence employ various teaching methods such as interactive method, project-based learning method, seminars, study tours and internal assessments to improve the learning process. Participatory learning activities such as intra-class quiz competitions, extempore competitions, departmental wall magazines and intra-departmental seminars that use audio-visual aids, as well as participation in science fairs, are also encouraged. In our college, we believe that every student is an extremely important component in building a new value-based society. "Illumination of knowledge drives away ignorance" (তমসো মা জ্যোতির্গময়) has been recognized as the emblem of our college. At Falakata College, we believe that education is not just about acquiring knowledge, but also about developing a sense of responsibility towards society and the environment. We encourage our students to participate in community service activities to develop their social awareness and leadership skills. We are proud of our alumni who have excelled in various fields and are contributing to the development of society. We strive to prepare our students to face the challenges of the rapidly changing world and to become responsible citizens who can make a positive impact on society.

Our college has been providing immense scopes for building up the careers of students in the locality, especially those from backward classes. As the head of the institution, I sincerely wish all students to possess a strong moral character and find success in their future endeavors.
